I have been in the performing arts industry since the age of 12 as a member of Central Junior Television Workshop, a pool of young actors based in Nottingham, then I went on to drama school securing a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art also known as Rada.
Some of you will recognise me from the popular childrens BBC television drama THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER and more recently as Adana Lawal in BBC 1's BAFTA award winning WATERLOO ROAD . I hear my birds nest of a hair do was the topic of many a conversation.
Next I'll be appearing in SPOOKS (blink and you'll miss me) as an estate agent who is a deep under cover spy. It was filmed on location in my old manor, East Dulwich, London in fact its the same estate agent where my then boyfriend and I rented our flat through. Random
You'll also see me this autumn in new BBC drama HIDDEN staring the gorgeous, sparkly eyed actor Philip Glenister of Ashes to Ashes fame. Oh and I spotted David Suchet star of POIROT in the dinner queue too.
And I hope you caught my performance as the nosey neighbour in the nations favourite soap, CORONATION STREET know affectionately as "CORRO". This was the appearance that created the most excitement, anyone would have thought it was the first job I'd ever had in my career!
I'll be back with more updates in the meantime grab yourself a coffee settle down to read my blog.
